One of the words we have been sharing at Empathy Action, possibly more than any other over these last weeks, has been solidarity. We’ve been asking each other questions such as how do we stand in solidarity with those in need, with those who are oppressed, with those who are impoverished and struggling in our world today.

At the end of our third week in lockdown, we are still baking bread (with mixed results). The photos we share of our endeavours – with the occasional novel ingredient – keep us connected and smiling as flour turns to gold dust across the land.

At Empathy Action, we are continuing to choose empathy and employ Radical Kindness in whatever way we can, even if it appears to be more limited in its scope. And – day by day – we are appreciating what we have, thinking constantly of our friends further away.
